Here’s some very important information Borderlines would like you to know:
“How Many Hours is the second single from our debut full-length “Keep Pretending,” out this summer on Hey Pizza Records (LP), Mom’s Basement Records (CD), and Memorable But Not Honorable (Cassette). It’s a tune about trying to let go of fear of bad decisions and living in the moment.
The video was shot at one of our favorite spots, Sun Tiki Studios at our hometown in Portland, Maine by our dear friend Cam Jones.
This album has been a long time coming for us. Some of these songs were written almost at the start of this band (2012) and some were written not long before recording. It was tracked here in Maine, mixed by Wyatt Funderburk at Nebulon II, and mastered by Justin Perkins at Mystery Room Mastering. The artwork was done by Jon Lewis of The Dopamines.
We will have album pre-order details and a release date very soon!”

In case you haven’t already heard of NOT, I’ll give you a brief rundown of what you’ve been missing out on. The band is from Los Angeles and features members of Sharp/Shock, Mercy Music & more. From the get-go, these guys had one goal in mind for this project: write and record original songs that faithfully recreate that distinct ALL/Descendents sound. And they did a damn good job.
After a few months of teasing us with some killer singles, NOT has finally spilled the beans on their debut album Stop the World. It’s due out April 14th on Wiretap Records, Brassneck Records, and Waterslide Records. You can listen to the brand new single “Alien” below and pre-order the record here (US) or here (UK)I don’t wanna jump the gun, but I think there’s serious Album of the Year potential here, folks.
NOT – Stop the World tracklist:
1. Stop The World 2. If Only 3. Hyperactive 4. Living On The Moon 5. Alien 6. Settle Down 7. Sorry Sometimes 8. Hella 9. Unfuck The World 10. Anxiety 11. Losing Control 12. Don’t Make Sense 13. The Last Time 14. Something Else
If you’ve never heard of NOT, you are NOT alone. I was browsing the New Releases section on Spotify late last night when I stumbled upon these guys and decided to give their new single (and first song ever) “Stop the World” a listen. Within a few seconds of pressing play, I thought to myself […]
If you’ve never heard of NOT, you are NOT alone. I was browsing the New Releases section on Spotify late last night when I stumbled upon these guys and decided to give their new single (and first song ever) “Stop the World” a listen. Within a few seconds of pressing play, I thought to myself “Holy shit, these guys sound exactly like ALL!”. I suspected the sonic similarity was too blatant to be a mistake, and a quick peek at the band’s bio confirmed that suspicion.
NOT is a four piece featuring Davey Warsop (Beat Union, Suedehead and Sharp/Shock), Brendan Scholz and Jarred Cooper of Mercy Music, and drummer Kyle Whitmore. They have a full Descendents/ALL inspired album on the way (same title as the single), which promises to deliver “14 hyperactive, caffeine fueled pop songs boasting hook after hook choruses about love and heartache”.
Warsop had this to say about the motivation behind the project: “So many musicians have unapologetically paid tribute to bands like the Ramones or the Clash… It’s about time someone did the same for ALL. We’re just trying to fly that flag as proudly as possible.”
Way back in 2014, a pop-punk supergroup named The Phase Problem was born. The band’s lineup included Flav Giorgini from Squirtgun and Fraser from the Murderburgers, among others. Nine years later, their self-titled debut album is finally going to see the light of day, thanks to Mom’s Basement Records, Brassneck Records, and Memorable But Not […]
The LP, which was produced by Jamie Ward and mastered by Mass Giorgini, is set to release on March 31st. It will feature guest appearances from Squirtgun singer Matt Hart and prolific punk drummer Dan Lumley (The Queers, Screeching Weasel, etc.). Check out three awesome songs below and stay tuned for more on The Phase Problem’s debut album.
